Malcolm Smith: Co-Founder & Translator

Malcolm Smith has been a student of the Great Perfection teachings since 1992. His main Dzogchen teachers are Chogyal Namkhai Norbu, the late Kunzang Dechen Lingpa, and the late H.H. Taklung Tsetrul Rinpoche. He is a veteran of a traditional three-year solitary Tibetan Buddhist retreat, a published translator of Tibetan Buddhist texts, and was awarded the Āchārya degree by the Sakya Institute in 2004. He graduated in 2009 from Shang Shung Institute’s School of Tibetan Medicine. He has worked on translations for renowned lamas since 1992, including His Holiness Sakya Trizin, Kunzang Dechen Lingpa,  Khenpo Migmar Tseten, Tulku Dakpa Rinpoche, and many others.  

Osa Karen Manell: Co-Founder & Editor

Osa first encountered the Dharma in Kathmandu following her graduation from Middlebury College in 1983. She has studied with all four schools of Tibetan Buddhism.  Her principal teachers include His Holiness the Sakya Trichen, Kusang Dechen Lingpa, Chogyal Namkhai Norbu, and Khenchen Namdrol Rinpoche. Osa trained as a Doctor of Tibetan Medicine and a Practitioner of Ayurveda. She has been editing Malcolm Smith’s translations of Tibetan philosophical, medical, and astrological texts since 2007. Osa is presently working on a Spanish translation of Buddhahood in this Life with Mariela Domínguez Leandro.

Michael Tweed: Editor

Michael is a well-known editor of Tibetan Buddhist texts, particularly on Dzogchen and Mahamudra.
